Now consider the following: What would you like to do for people, what service can you provide, that you would love to do. What are you enthusiastic about? What do people rely on you for? Can you provide a good service? Decide what type of human need you wish to fulfill. One that allows you your dignity, makes you proud of yourself, and that you wish to do.
Now do the next step: Decide where you want to land up and where- what is the end result you wish to achieve. To be continued…
Plan Your Life Blog- Introduction
Here goes with the new topic. For general information, Plan Your Life was a project started to help Dr Damelin’s clients. They like it, some say it SAVED their life. So with that in mind, let’s look at some of the general issues people need to make their lives work. 
First, people have different talents. Some understand people, some understand mathematics and do not understand people. Some understand music. Whatever talent you have, you should find something to do that is productive with that talent. Don’t waste time learning to be a musician if you cannot. Listen to music- it is easier.
The issue of talents is discussed in Rabbi Akiva Tatz’s book for the teenager. He says whatever talent you don’t have, leave it out of your career development plan. Work with your talents and strengths. They are the things you were meant to develop. There lie your unique contributions to the world.
So, make a list of your strengths and talents, and the things you would like to do but have no talent for. Now leave the last list aside, and focus on the first list, and think what you like to do with the strengths and talents you have. Now figure out what you have to offer that is unique. Now investigate what it is you will have to learn or develop in order to offer it.
There is the start! You will be successful if you are offering something useful as a service to others that they value. If you want to make money with it, people will pay for that service if they value it, if you deliver the service well, and if it is hard to replace. If it is something you want to give, you will be successful on the same basis.
