Some quick definitions of Coaching
Coaching isn’t therapy for 3 reasons:
- 1- Our clients know they are normal by the first session, even if they have been through abnormal situations
- 2- Clients begin to produce results themselves using the tools we provide
- 3- Clients do not become dependent or addicted to us. We help clients make what is not yet working work. For what is working you do not need us.
Reviving life- Many people talk about reviving the dead. We revive life.
ABOUT COACHING
Coaching is for normal people. There is analysis for “neurotics” there is psychology for “psycho-illness ” and now there is coaching -for normal people and normal issues that may be challenging in life. A coach can help neutralize those nasty automatic thoughts that make us guilty when we are not, those reactions that happen without thinking when we feel those unpleasant, old, familiar feelings- reactions that land us in the familiar stuck and upset places that are so not welcome.
TLC coaches are fun and entertaining too. Find one on the Coaching Directory at Certified IATLC Coaches. If you feel you could do better but never get there, try working with a Coach. If you are going through a rough patch, or have a bad habit that keeps tripping you up, try us out. A Coach is on your side, together the two of you will find the way around the barriers that will work.
ABOUT DR. VIVIENNE DAMELIN Dr. Damelin has focused on adult personality development, motivation and strengthening her clients with medications and with therapy, not necessarily in that order. She maintains an ongoing reading schedule of new treatment approaches in psychopharmacology and neuro-psychopharmacology, as well as natural remedies such as diet, exercise and food supplements. An avid reader of psychology books from age 16, she has an eclectic approach that gets around the most seasoned and resistant therapy veterans, much to their amusement and benefit. Dr. Damelin has focused on difficult to manage personalities with significant success. Trauma rehabilitation has been another ongoing theme for many years.
/Her projects in Israel include running Therapy groups for mothers who lost children and wives who lost their husbands. Dr. Damelin is certified in EMDR trauma rehabilitation, and was successfully managing and rehabilitating trauma victims for many years before EMDR was thought up. It has always been a goal of Dr. Damelin to work with normal, healthy people in order to develop their potential. At the start of her psychiatric training, she learned that the healthier people are, the better “psychotherapy” works, and the easier it is to help them.
Most regular people are neglected, as they appear to not need help. A little coaching guidance and nurturing in such cases goes a very long way, and is well worth while, producing superior results in people’s lives. Almost 6 years ago,Dr. Damelin developed this theme and entered the world of Coaching and has run several group coaching courses and a coaching school since then adding “wellness” workshops to the list of services offered. Dr Vivienne Damelin began as Vivienne Nafte, in a small mining town near Johannesburg, South Africa. Her career started with Pharmacy and then to Medical School, and on to postgraduate studies in Psychiatry. In 1997 she made Aliya with her children, and has lived with the help of Almighty and some friends, in Jerusalem, the Holy City, until today.
